Top political advisor highlights readiness to deepen relations with DPRK
China's top political adviser Wang Huning highlighted on Thursday the nation's readiness to deepen unity, cooperation and strategic communication with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and to jointly create a peaceful and stable external environment.
Wang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, made the remarks while meeting with a DPRK delegation, led by Kim Song-nam, department director of the Worker's Party of Korea Central Committee.
Wang, who is also chairman of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference National Committee, expressed willingness to transform the important consensus reached by the leaders of both parties and countries into practical actions that promote the friendship between China and the DPRK.
This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two nations, also designated as the Year of China-DPRK Friendship.
Kim expressed belief that the Year of China-DPRK Friendship will help enhance bilateral exchanges and cooperation and enable greater progress in the socialist cause of both nations.
